Summary

When it comes to building a better mattress, Brooklyn Bedding literally owns it. A pioneer of the bed-in-a-box concept in 2008, they are still one of the only online mattress companies to masterfully design, construct, roll pack and ship your mattress from their very own state-of-the-art factory in Phoenix.

The Brooklyn Bedding Sedona is a hybrid bed-in-a-box mattress with numerous layers of slow-response memory foam that produce a “pillow top” experience. It provides good pressure relief and has little motion transfer, making it an excellent choice for side sleepers, couples, and people with shoulder trouble.

This mattress is an excellent choice for side sleepers. The foam layers provide a velvety, almost quilted top layer. The motion isolation on this bed will also astonish you.

As a premium mattress, the Sedona Hybrid is more expensive than the usual hybrid car. While it is somewhat more expensive than some hybrid versions, its superior materials and resort-style feel may justify the extra cost. Furthermore, special discounts frequently bring the price closer to the typical cost of a hybrid mattress.

The Sedona Hybrid Mattress is available in six typical mattress sizes as well as some uncommon alternatives such as full XL, short queen, and split California king. Custom mattress sizes are also available upon request from Brooklyn Bedding, however, delivery charges may apply. Customers may get further information from Brooklyn Bedding’s customer service staff.

The Sedona is the mattress for you if:

  • You tend to toss and turn at night.
  • You sleep hot at night.
  • You sleep with a partner, child, or pet.

Feel & Body Support

The Brooklyn Bedding Sedona Hybrid has good edge support when sitting on the side of the bed. Lying down, the mattress does collapse a bit. Overall, the Sedona mattress’ edge support is just okay.

Information for Hot Sleepers - Cooling Materials

As for the Sedona’s support for people of various body types, it’s best suited for lightweight and average-weight folks, though we’d also recommend it to heavyweight back sleepers.

This mattress’s cover, in conjunction with the gel memory foam in the comfort layer, helps to keep you cool throughout the night. The coils on the bed’s structural base also allow air to flow freely throughout the mattress without being trapped. Overall, I would suggest this mattress for hot sleepers looking for temperature regulation.

Back Support Features

The Brooklyn Sedona is one of the greatest mattresses for back sleepers, especially those of average or lightweight. Its contouring memory foam and individually-encased coils support the natural “S” curve of the spine, allowing sleepers to wake up with less aches and pains. Heavyweight people who sleep on their backs will find the Sedona quite pleasant. There is a lot of body contouring going on around the hips and shoulders, which is relieving discomfort and pressure spots.

Sleeping Positions

Back Sleeping:

A layer of polyfoam and two levels of memory foam in the Sedona Hybrid’s three-layer comfort system softly cradle a back sleeper’s hips, providing deep compression support without undue sinkage.

The Sedona Hybrid may be best suited for back sleepers weighing 130 to 230 pounds. Its medium feel should provide a good blend of shaping and support for most people in this weight range. The Sedona Hybrid also works well for back sleepers of different weights.

Side Sleeping:

The Sedona Hybrid reduces pressure accumulation by conforming to the curve of a side sleeper and distributing the force of their weight more evenly. Because of its three-layer comfort system, which moulds and offers deep compression support, it is a perfect choice for many side sleepers.

The medium feel of the Sedona Hybrid may be best for side sleepers weighing less than 230 pounds. The Sedona Hybrid will be soft enough to suit most people in this weight range while yet being firm enough to assist their spinal alignment.

Stomach Sleeping:

The three-layer comfort structure of the Sedona Hybrid conforms to the body of a stomach sleeper, easing pressure while offering support.

Because of its medium feel, the Sedona Hybrid may be best suited to stomach sleepers weighing less than 230 pounds. The bed shouldn’t feel firm against their bodies at the front, but it should also be supportive enough that their midsections don’t sink in too much.

Combination:

With Sedona Hybrid, you also have a mattress that works with combination sleepers and is not against. It is also a great mattress for people looking for a medium feeling mattress that is still very supportive and comfortable. Making this a truly rare luxury mattress that we can get behind.
